Pyramidi e Pasta began in Rome.
In 2022, while spending extended time there, I saw a clear contradiction: one of the world’s most visited cultural capitals was still operating large parts of its tourism ecosystem with limited digital structure, fragmented coordination, and little regard for long-term sustainability. I approached the sector the only way I know how — through system analysis.
Our first phase focused on building the operational and digital foundation required to responsibly operate and resell tours. That work gave us direct exposure to the mechanics of tourism at scale — and, more importantly, to its shortcomings.
The next insight was more decisive.
Across Europe and the Mediterranean, from South Italy to emerging regions in Poland and across Egypt, we identified a growing gap between volume tourism and what destinations, communities, and discerning travelers increasingly require: curated experiences, delivered off-peak, with cultural sensitivity and economic balance. At the same time, local resistance to low-value, high-volume tourism was becoming impossible to ignore — and rightly so.
Pyramidi e Pasta was shaped around that reality.
From its founding documents, the company has been aligned with a clear principle: fewer travelers, better timing, deeper experiences, and full compliance with European sustainability direction and local community interests. This approach is only possible through close cooperation with highly experienced, well-established partners in every region we operate.
